Code of Conduct

In order to keep Penpot Fest and Penpot community a respectful, welcoming and safe place, we ask that all participants read and follow our code of conduct.

This Code of Conduct applies to all Penpot community spaces.

Anyone who violates this Code of Conduct may be expelled from these spaces at the discretion Penpot and Kaleidos. This policy is a “living” document, and subject to refinement and expansion in the future.

Be kind

Please treat each other nicely. We don’t tolerate any kind of discrimination based on:

  • Ethnicity
  • Race
  • Nationality
  • Politics
  • Religion
  • Culture
  • Mental or Physical disabilities
  • Gender
  • Gender identity
  • Sexual orientation
  • Etc

This may include comments, profile pictures, social media interactions, projects names and any other way that may discriminate or harass any other member.

Discriminatory comments or treatment of any kind it’s not allowed in any way. You must treat people with all the respect.

What we expect of all of our members is:

  • Be respectful
  • Be understanding
  • Be nice
  • Be inclusive

We believe in an open source mentality, that’s why we love people with a passion for sharing their ideas, helping each other to keep this community alive and improving everyday. Sharing is caring.

Penpot Fest Safe space

We want you to have the best experience during our Penpot Fest, that’s why we have a Zero tolerance policy for Harassment that may included:

  • Offensive comments and behavior related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical condition, race, religion, nationality, politics, etc
  • Stalking people and/or continued interaction after request to cease
  • Inappropriate sexual behavior
  • Any kind of violence and even incitement of violence
  • Be under the effects of alcohol or any illegal drug inside the Penpot Fest that may cause a problem
  • Publication of any private communication without consent

No Confidential Information

We encourage you to not share confidential information.

No Spam

We believe in sharing your own projects but understand the difference between communicating your projects and spamming the community.

We know that our community has the knowledge to understand it.

Of course, you’re more than welcome to wear your corporate clothes and share stickers and any other merchandising supplies with the other attendants.

Consequences f​​or violations

The person that doesn’t follow our Code of conduct, will be asked to stop their behavior immediately.

The Penpot core members can warn the user or even expel them from the Penpot Fest without refunding.

The Penpot core members can warn the user or even be banned for the community.

Reporting violations

If you are aware of a violation of our code of conduct to you or to any member of the Penpot community during Penpot Fest , please communicate with the organization as soon as possible.
